Goff: 'I've enjoyed every moment here & would love more

Jared Goff has become quite a favorite in Detroit during the Lions' playoff journey.

He led Detroit to their first NFC North title in 30 years, followed by two wins at home during the playoffs. Everywhere you turned in Michigan, from Red Wings games to the Detroit Opera House, you'd hear chants of 'Jar-red Goff, Jar-ed Goff.'

Reflecting on the past few weeks, Goff shared, "Since the playoffs began, and especially after winning that game against the Rams at home, seeing the fans' response has been really special. It's something I'll never forget. Despite the disappointing end to the season, those playoff games at home were incredible experiences."

Even in the loss to the 49ers, Goff played exceptionally well. He wasn't the reason the Lions missed their shot at their first Super Bowl in franchise history. Throughout the season, and especially in the playoffs, Goff's performance was crucial to Detroit's success.

Although Goff has one year remaining on his contract, there's talk of a possible raise and extension for him this offseason. When asked about his future with the team, Goff expressed his affection for Detroit, saying, "I love this place. We'll see what happens, but I'm grateful for my time here and the relationships I've built."

Gaining the trust and respect of a hard-working city like Detroit isn't easy. It requires dedication, resilience, and skill, qualities that Goff demonstrated consistently throughout the season.

With two consecutive seasons playing at a Pro Bowl level, Goff has proven himself worthy of being the Lions' quarterback for the foreseeable future. He's open to staying in Detroit longer, expressing his admiration for Coach Dan Campbell, his teammates, and the city itself.

While an extension would be welcomed, Goff acknowledges that the decision isn't solely up to him. Regardless, his love for Detroit and his commitment to the team remain steadfast.
